Disley endured a frustrating week as the rains swept the county. The 1stXI escaped for long enough to complete the first innings of their top of the table clash at Haslington whilst the 2ndXI never stepped foot on a sodden DASC.

The long trip to South Cheshire saw the Rams return to the scene of their 2009 Alliance Cup Final victory for a first league encounter with Haslington, a club who have travelled on a similar trajectory over the last decade. Sadly though an interestingly poised encounter was lost to incessant rain commencing during the tea interval after an even first innings.

The 1stXI were unsurprisingly inserted but responded well to the early loss of both openers with a mature stand between Jake Reynolds (37) and Andrew Clarke (35). The pair blunted the home side and set a platform that allowed more expansive play from Jamie Pollard, Manusha Wettasinghe and Will Ritchie to carry the Rams to a useful 155-7.

A potentially season-defining second innings was then lost to the elements and both sides dropped in the table following the completion of games elsewhere in the county.
